ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a key role within the development team building advanced software solutions for our on-line energy business. Projects you will work on cut across a wide set of solution domains including: on-line registrations, customer self-serve, single customer view, mediation, rating and billing. Successful candidates will have a strong subject matter expertise and a desire to grow in a rapidly expanding company that seeks to differentiate itself through technology.
A key part of this role is to help raise the level of experience in the team, as such Principal’s will be accountable for highlighting areas of development with the teams they work within and propose training, coaching and education plans. In addition to having expert technology skills we are looking for people who have a demonstrable background in carrying out a coaching role while still maintaining hands on involvement.
We are looking for a graduate with a strong degree in a relevant technical discipline (ideally software engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics etc.) with commercial experience of developing software solutions as a Java Developer within an Agile environment. We currently use Scrum but this should not limit candidates who have experience of XP, DSDM or other recognised agile frameworks.
